Barclays has resolved the Faster Payments disruption affecting transactions where Barclays was the sending or receiving bank. Pay by Bank payment processing has returned to normal, with Barclays re-enabled as a sending bank.

PayUK has confirmed that payment failure rates affecting Barclays are reducing. We will re-enable Barclays for initiating Pay by Bank payments once the situation has fully stabilised.
Customers may continue to experience intermittent payment interruptions where Barclays is the receiving bank. This remains outside of Atoa’s control, and we are continuing to monitor the situation closely. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

We’re monitoring an issue affecting Barclays’s Faster Payments service. As a result, some Pay by Bank payments may be rejected because the beneficiary bank is temporarily unavailable.
This issue is not connected to Atoa. Barclays is actively working to restore normal service (https://status.uk.barclays/).
We’ll share further updates as they become available. Card payments are unaffected.
